Put grease on passenger side rod and see if it stops the noise.

I have a 2014 and its done it almost since day 1. Its not a subtle thing. Then again, I have a problem with any $50k+ vehicle rattling. I live on a wash boarded gravel road and it sounds like I'm pulling a trailer. Its defintely the step. Any fixes?

I've never heard mine, and most of the time I'm driving without the radio on. But then again I have the longest wheelbase so maybe it's just so far away I can't hear it. If I can't hear it, did it really make a noise?

When I push the button, it does NOT pop out. I need to use my finger to pull it out. I worry about getting my finger stuck or pinch there. Any idea how to fix that?
thanks Steve

When you pull the step put look imside the tailgate for anything that dosnt belong or is loose. Maybe lube any sliding areas if you can. It's a very simple design so you should be able to find the problem fairly easily.
