2018 F150 V8 10Speed Hard shift
So the past week my truck has been shifting really hard. An by that I mean, the first 15minutes or so of driving. It’ll go to shift into gear and feel as if it will rev up to about 3k then almost jump into gear. No smooth transition, you feel it jolt into gear. An it does that while driving almost the whole 15minutes, into every gear. Downshifting is fine. Plus when I’m driving it’ll randomly jump in RPM’s. Doesn’t feel as if it’s slipping out of gear.
also the other day when I came to a complete stop it stayed in 7th gear for about 10-15seconds before finally dropping into 1st.
does anyone have an idea? 75.6k miles, no tranny service yet since ford recommends 150k supposedly (from what I’ve found online).

You're having the symptoms of the CDF Drum issue that many including myself have gone through. It's likely you'll need to have Ford look at it and if they do it right they'll be rebuilding it or replacing it depending on what the internals look like.

This. Ford took care of me when my 2018 transmission crapped the bed and had to be replaced.

This can be covered under warranty if you're still within the bumper to bumper 3yr/36, as well as the powertrain at 5yr/60 or with a Ford ESP. You may also be able to have it covered under a 3rd party warranty but I'm not sure on that. This is not a recall (although it could be) so Ford is under no obligation to actively reach out to anyone to have it fixed.

Yup. Sounds like the CDF... Just got thru dealing with similar issues when cold. Had the adaptive tables reset: Did nothing. Had the valve body replaced with the new style, computer re-flashed and adaptive tables reset: did nothing. Had a Ford remanufactured trans installed: Fixed!
I have a, '18 Platinum with 3.5 eco with about 104K miles. Thank God for extended warranties!

Nope. They swapped in a whole new (rebuilt) unit by Ford. I was told that these 10-speeds are kind of intimidating for many and rather than taking the risk of something not going back together correctly, it was safer going with a factory rebuild.
