ALWAYS clay mine the minute it gets home.
Wash it thoroughly first. Dry off good.
I spray mine with detailer first, then rub off.
THEN claybar. (using the detailer as lube------or a mixture of handsoap and water--no dish detergent or tide, etc).
Wipe off. detailer wipe again.
then a coat of wax.
Will produce the slickest, most glossy shine.

Thanks for the info! I missed that in the manual. Shoot. I need to read it again. It is going to rain all weekend, maybe it is a good time to knock it out

Saw several trucks this color this past week from lots of distances/angles/lighting. To my eye, from afar it looks black. From closer, in anything but direct sun, it looks brown with the tiniest bit of red/brown. Up close in direct light the paint looks dark cherry with nice metallic affect. If it always looked like that I would like it. But under most conditions it does not reflect that way and thus appears too brown (too my eyes).
Finally saw one today at our local dealer.
I pretty much agree with LandCruiser above. In very bright sunlight, the shadow side looked a deep black. On the sunny side, she looked black cherry. Just passing by she looked a very dark brown.
Either way, the black cherry affect is fabulous. I would love to see it at night under city lights.

I never could find a magma in person but my lease is coming up on my 15 lariat screw so put an order in for an 18 plat magma screw. I’m now on a cross country road trip and one day in Sioux Falls SD, I see a plat in the opposite lane stopped in magma red. I instantly popped a smile on my face and knew it was the right move. It’s a beautiful unique color. I will miss my magnetic 15 though. Great truck. First Ford and made me a Ford lifer. Truck is scheduled to arrive end of Oct.

I was at the dealer Saturday getting new tires on my 16, and asked if they got any Magma Red in yet. He said no. Later on I walked out, I was bored, and came across one. Then realized the SXT sitting next to it that I had already looked at, was also MR.
I find it looks a lot like Kodiak Brown, but with copper in it.

Stopped by a dealership today and checked it out. It's like everyone says, black from distance, but very cool red flake up close. I'll be ordering one this spring. LX (for the black grill, bumpers), sport package, 5.0, standard cab short bed. Lower it 3/5, black wheels. It's going to be sweet.

Here is my Lariat, in sun and not. One good thing I a thinking, as a city resident, if I get a parking ticket, the meter maid will mark the truck 'black'. But look, your honor, clearly the registration shows that the truck is red' lo..

We get a lot of complements on the color once folks finish their double takes. That said, we really enjoy the color and the truck. More than any other we have owned. Taking it on a 900 mile drive today!
