Default 2018 F150 issue when attaching iphone X

Folks - I need some help... I just got a new iphone x. Once I plugged it into my sync connection on my console of my 2018 F150 Sport 4x4, it recognize it and then gives me a warning - see attached pic... I chatted with Ford on Saturday said it was the charger cable, "not an iphone cable". So to insure I have the correct cable I went and bought a brand new Apple iphone charger cable. Still getting same the warning. Call Ford on Saturday and chatted online. They gave me a few steps to reset it. Ok, it started working again. Sunday, I get up and head to church and get the same warning, AGAIN!!! If I plug the phone into the rear charger it works fine. The phone will blue tooth with my radio. I get this message when the phone is 10% batter or fully charged. What do I do now...

Can anyone help?

Buy an Android? :-) I have no idea how to help. I'm assuming you bought the new cable directly from Apple, right?

I don’t have a solution but I’m pretty confident it’s a wiring/power issue with your head unit. I’m running an iPhone X max on some generic amazon cord and have never received that message. Have you tried anyone else’s phone to see what happens?

This may be a solution. This has helped me and a number of others with charging issues as well.

Good Luck!

Just on the phone with Ford Pass again for 30 minutes. They tried a reset, still no luck. Now they are saying call Apple. What it’s a Ford truck. Next thing, maybe you need to wait for an update... Come on Ford!!!
