Default 2018 Drivinge Modes

My 2018 Lariat (3.5EB, 4x4, SCREW) has 4 selections for what I will call "driving modes". 1. Regular Mode (and is the default). 2. Tow/Haul. 3. ECO. 4. Sport.

These are switched by a button on the side of the console mounted gearshift. Aside from the obvious difference in automatic transmission shifting strategies, #2 and #4 do engine braking. #3 seems to do everything it can to get to 10th gear as quick as possible and downshift only "just enough" to prevent stalling. I am curious if there is anything the various settings change as far as engine output.

I do not see any real information regarding these selections in the owners mannual aside from stating that they exist.

Love the truck. Just want to have a better understanding of what the various selections do.

My 2018 XLT with 301a package also has a Snow/Wet setting in addition to the ones you listed.. surprised your Lariat doesn't have that too..

I will check and see if it has a Snow/Wet mode. Might have missed it.

Check page 268 of the Owner's Manual (Driving Aids)?

Also see this:

(Yes, I know it's for the Mustang. You're not going to have Track mode and the Mustang won't have Tow/Haul)

Has anyone figured out how to make one of the "optional" modes the default standard?
