Default 2018 Clock spring

Sorry if this has been asked previously. I’m posting from my phone which makes searching much harder.

My info buttons have been intermittent. Today, I filled up with gas and went to reset the mileage and the buttons don’t work at all. Cruise control buttons don’t either. I’ve researched the clock spring and came up with 2 different ones that Ford lists for my truck. I do have the color screen in the gauges if that makes a difference. Can anyone confirm the correct part number?
HL3Z-14A664-A or HL3Z-14A664-B. There’s about a $25 difference between them and I’m not certain of the difference. Any help is appreciated.

If it matters at all, my options are as follows; 2018 XLT, 2.7, Super Crew, Sport, 4x4, tow package, nav package, moon roof, power rear window, power front seats, heated front seats, trailer back up assist, console shift, adjustable pedals, mirror lights, etc.

Just did a quick search and trying to use what I know here...if I had to guess I think B is the clock spring for those with heated steering wheels and A is without. Don't quote me here, it just an amateurs educated guess. I just know there is a difference in clock springs for heated vs non heated steering wheels

I don’t have the heated steering wheel. I’m pretty sure most models have the same steering wheel buttons for radio controls snd info controls. Except maybe the base model XLs. I would imagine the B as well. But I don’t want to tear my steering wheel apart just to realize I have the wrong one. Thanks for the advice, I’ll likely go with B.

Have you searched one of the Ford parts websites using your VIN instead of year, make, & model? A call to a parts department should sort out the right one too.

I'd disconnect the battery and pop off the steering wheel. Takes a few minutes. Then you'll know for sure.

Here is a how to video. Easy peasy.

I will likely have to. Even the VIN search lists 2 different parent numbers. Thanks for the vid.
