2018 - backfire only after fill up? Fuel puddling?
I have a 2018 5.0L When i fill up the truck i get a back fire out the exhaust.
If i pump more fuel in after it clicks full it will always backfire. If i add fuel but don’t fill the truck it does not.
thoughts?

You're not supposed to add more fuel after it clicks. You could flood the evap canister.

Probably something to do with your mod. I've overfilled my 2018 truck a couple of times due to defective pumps that don't shut off when full, and no issues (fortunately), but mine is a 3.5EB. I assume the canister is above fuel level nowadays, to precisely avoid damage when overfilling. Hope that's the case. At any rate, I have no idea what it could be. Both EBs and 5.0s are both port and direct injected, right? So not sure what could be different, other than an issue with the SC/tune, for some reason. Talk to the vendor, and see if they have an answer for you.

I have a 2018 5.0L with a Whipple Supercharger and 2800miles........When i fill up the truck within .7 of a mile of the gas station i get a loud shot gun blast bang from my exhaust. I believe fuel is puddling in my exhaust(off-road y-pipe/Mbrp side exit)
being that i have a blower I’m trying not to get
the dealership involved.
My tuner thinks it my be my evap leaking?

So even when you've been advised of the cause you're still looking for a solution?

My 2012 STX 5.0L/2014 Tremor 3.5EB/2016 XL 2.7EB never did this. Even if i stop pumping at 1 click it still back fires. I guess my original post wasn't clear, if i fill to 1 click or over 1 click it backfires. If i add say $20 to an empty tank of fuel (6-7gal) it wont.
I have a hard time believing ford made a truck you can't fill up without hearing a loud backfire....Mine is probably exaggerated due to my offroad y-pipe into MBRP side exit exhaust. It's frighteningly loud. Like a 12gauge Shot gun.
On my next fill up i will try waiting 10-20sec before i hang up the pump to see if that makes any change.
