I have a 2018 XLT SCREW FX4 (Magma Red) with the sport appearance package
I probably should have just bought a Lariat, but.... here we are

I would like to do the following at some point:
Cluster swap to 8" Livinitup cluster swap
Heated Steering wheel add on / Auto Climate control (non-dual zone) swap
OEM Ambient Lighting
The steering wheel/ACC/cluster swap seem to be as simple as just writing checks, swapping parts and making the appropriate Forscan changes.

The Forscan changes I am comfortable with, since I have already made a few and I am pretty good with wiring, so I feel good about doing just about anything.

The OEM ambient lighting has me a little perplexed though, since my truck came with none of the lighting. I am not a huge fan of the dealer add on version interior light kit (CL8Z-13E700-AA) and don't want to go the full custom fiber optic route either.
I have looked through as many posts as I could find, but can not seem to find a definitive answer, so here goes.

Can the full OEM Ambient lighting option be retrofitted to an 18 XLT? This includes color changing light modules as well as full control in Sync3?
I saw a great write up on a 15 XLT with part numbers and everything. This included the changes to get it all to be happy in the MFT touch screen. How similar is this to the 18 with the Sync3? I have also seen the post that showed how to add the third screen with the ambient light control to the Sync3. I just can't seem to wrap my head around how to make it all come together.

Any help would be appreciated.

I was hoping for something similar to this, but for the 18-20.... unless I just caught the dumbs and it is the same (other than the MFT vs Sync3 part)

 

I know that boostedgreygoose is working on a wiring harness, but I was hoping that someone here has successfully done this on an 18-20 XLT....

Anyone??
