No, it likely has nothing to do with it. I certainly can't speak for the 5.0 since I don't own one, but since the noise sounds exactly like the Eco 3.5 and under the exact same circumstances, I would say that Piston rattle is not the issue. It is absolutely VCT/chain related on my truck as I can unplug the VCT solenoid or adjust the cam timing and make the noise go away. The conditions under which it occurs would not be conducive to any type of piston rattle anyway.

I had this TSB 18-2354 done yesterday along with TSB 18-2274. I just took the truck out this morning and unfortunately mine still makes the same noise

let upur dealer know. Ford might need to tweak the TSB.

Anyone else had this applied yet? Sounds like it didn't work for kds_5280 or pboerschlein, so I'm curious if it's actually worked for anyone yet.

I've had (12) of our Fleet 2018s F150s w/5.0L updated. None of the drivers have complained of this noise since the reflash. Still early though, it's only been 5 days.

Had mine done this morning. Drove truck after sitting for 3 hrs in the driveway post flash and still hear the noise slightly. I good test for me will be tomorrow morning to confirm when truck will be really cold
