NO. As it states, 5 year, 75,000 Premium Care Extended Service Plan. All Ford ESP's start from in-service date. So the ESP extended it 2 years and 39000 miles.
Bumper to bumper warranty is 3/36, Powertrain warranty is 5/60.
Bumper to bumper warranty is 3/36, Powertrain warranty is 5/60.
- Q: When does coverage begin on New Ford Protect Extended Service Plans?
- A: Coverage begins at the warranty start date and zero miles and expires at the earlier of the number of months purchased or the number of miles purchased.

this sounds like a third party warranty from the dealer. The genuine FORD PROTECT warranty doesn't go by hours and doesn't have a "B" plan.
Sounds like its similar to the FORD PROTECT, however, it might have different terms, conditions, and deductibles.

No, it's not a 10 year 135,000. That would be nice tho lol. It's a total of 5 years, and 75,000 miles. Believe me, I'm not crazy about it, but it's better then nothing at this point. I'm 1000% pissed off at Fords lack of caring here.

i did not decline it yet.. i was wondering if they are using this as a way of getting out of doing a buy back...for me personally i wont keep this truck longer then 3 years at this point so i have no use for the extra warranty...i know this may sound foolish but i am really mad about the lack of urgency to repair our trucks.i have owned many fords and my son has a 2011 with the 5.0...the engine is quite and no rattles or chirps..as i stated in some other posts i would be happy if my engine only had a rattle, but it doesn't. if you guys only have the rattle consider your self lucky...i am truly embarrassed to drive my truck at this point.

I completely understand where you're coming from. I asked outright if it would hinder me from being able to participate a buy back or lemon law.. and I was assured it would not hurt in anyway at all. I plan on keeping this truck awhile, I usually hold onto my trucks 7-8 years. This is my 3rd Ford, and I've been happy...up until this POS. Besides the engine rattle on decelerations, and at times, acel as well.. I have also discovered it has a serious oil consumption issue. I couldn't agree more about their lack of urgency. I feel like at this point, they know DAM WELL that there is a serious problem with the 2018 5.0... and they are trying their best to skirt around it. This is extremely frustrating, and I'm very interested to see how this plays out. I 100% refuse to be stuck with a truck I'm not happy with. If there isn't a fix soon, I will look into a lemon law or buy back. There is no excuses for a $50,000+ truck to sound like absolute crap.

i agree .. this is a joke..the problem now is ford deems these noises normal so my dealer will not even look at my truck.. Ohio law states you have to have 3 repair chances before you can pursue a buy back...if ford wont make a attempt to repair how can i file a claim ..i believe ford did this to stop the buy back process..

Ford can’t possibly internally consider this normal. But if they truly don’t have a solution, are they really just gonna pump out 5.0’s for the remainder of the gen3 lifespan with this issue? If that's the case Fords reputation in the truck community is going straight down the toilet bowl. I would think they must be panicking behind closed doors. I keep waiting for this whole thing to come to a head.

The warranty starts from the day you purchased the truck, but isn't relevant until after the 3 year mark. So essentially it is valid an additional 2 years or 75,000 total miles on the trucks odometer. It does have a $100 (if I remember correctly) deductible though.

I am not interested in a buyback, but I did mention that to the rep. He said that I can get the warranty and still submit a buyback, in fact he said "we can start the paperwork for the buyback right now. We don't even have to submit it yet, but it can be ready if you decide you want to go that route." I told him that I'm not at that point yet, but that was good to know.
