Default 2018 5.0 Roush supercharger

The new Roush supercharger looks very promising for the new 2018 F-150 and mustang 5.0.

Whipple for the 2018's is even more promising!
From the article:
Don’t worry, Whipple didn’t forget about you when working around the new 2018 DI/PI setups. The 2018 F150 will use the new Gen 3 3/5 design, since there weren’t any size constraints like it’s Mustang brethren. However since there is a lack of limitation Whipple was able to include an even LARGER intercooler than previous years (which was already 33% larger than the competition). The Gen 3 increased power by 30-40 horsepower in the 2015-2017 F150s with zero changes, couple that with the even larger intercooler, the new DI fuel setup, new cylinder heads and cams and you have a very powerful new package. In their testing, the 2018 F150 made 650rwhp and 580rwtq through a 10-speed automatic, equating to 812hp and 725ft/lb on 93 octane. Whammy.

All true but the whipple is bigger so it should make more. I love the new "upside down" design, a true work of art.

The numbers don't add up. Engineermike is getting 646RWHP, and 520RWTQ with a 2015 5.0, with only PI, and lower CR.

Very true but we don't know how much boost either is pushing, maybe Mile has told us I can't remember but whipple didn't say.

The article talked about them taking advantage of the higher flow rates to run lower boost and get the same end result. Maybe I'm reading too deeply into this but it seems to me that reliability was a main goal on this design cycle, more so than raw power gains.

Mike has the 3.5" pulley with 13# of boost and catback too. But the new Whipple SC has 60# more TQ than Mikes run too.

That’s for the Mustang only. The truck kit will be normal.
