Default 2017 Wing Mirror

So, it was bound to happen eventually..

I reverse into my driveway, and there is a relatively small tree on the passenger side that I want to get as close to as possible.

I got a little too close...

Instead of the mirror being pushed backwards, it pushed off the outer cover, and cracked some bits of plastic on the inside of the housing.

Everything generally appears to work, but there are some cracks and pieces that cracked off from the inside.

I will post some pics in the am when it is light... but at the moment, the body shop I took it to is saying I need a new unit and an hour of labor.

It is so frustrating.. the outer housing is perfectly fine.. it popped off and fell on the ground. There are some bits that I think need popping back in, but for sure there are some bits that are cracked and a little broken, but not generally affecting the mirror working.

One thing I'm not sure on yet is if the BLIS is still working.. there looks to be a wire or two inside that need to be reconnected.

Thoughts welcomed on fixability without getting a whole new unit, or where to get the new unit from at the best price.

It's off a black Lariat with BLIS, power fold, trailer tow package.

Sigh. Don't need a multi hundred dollar bill for Christmas.

TIA
