As a general rule, never go to the dealership if the truck is out of warranty.

This is very good information and a good place to start. It is rare that a V8 would fail so early.

I'd put a gage on it and make sure it is the oil pressure. If it is, consider going to a 5W30, 10W30, or 10W40.

This right here. I changed to 5w30 and I get less stalling but still some rough idle. 5w40 removes all stalling and 90% of rough idle. its not the solenoids, its the phasers themselves.
dealers do not want to replace these even under warranty.
