2017 SYNC vs. Phone
Hello,
My 2017 has been stellar except I have problems keeping my phone connected. I have SYNC 3 (as far along as Ford will let me update anyway) and a Galaxy S9. When I connect to Android Auto, I often see the connection suddenly drop and I have to plug the phone back in to get it back. The same is true when disabling Android Auto and relying on a wired connection. When hard wiring I often don't get data syncing properly with SYNC (music won't transfer). Playing music over Bluetooth alone just doesn't work.
My question is: is this the fault of the phone (which is 3 years old) or is this a problem with SYNC? My wife's iPhone 11 seems to work just fine in all respects. I'd rather just update my phone to something newer (preferably not Apple) but if other newer Android phones have these kinds of issues, then I may have no choice. I am content to use the SYNC interface and not Android Auto if newer phones work within those parameters.
Thanks y'all!
