2017 reverse lights wiring ?
I'm looking for the reverse lamps wiring on my '17 Lariat F-150. I know it is GN-BN colored wiring. The diagrams show both L & R as green/brown and C487 (LEFT) and C488 (right) and splice at S405 and two connectors C405-2 and C316-22. I know this, but where is it physically located ? Is it in the wiring under the driver side door sill ? Or does it run under the truck to the front somewhere. Wanting to splice into it for manual operation when needed. Any help would be appreciated !

Not sure how you plan on doing this but make sure you don't back feed the BCM. Don't know if these will help any:

If your looking to add additional lights to the rear while backing up, its very simple to tap into the trailer hitch wire harness. The wires are exposed right behind the rear bumper. This took me 15 minutes to install my backup lights & tap into the wire harness.

I did the same thing but it sounds to me like he wants to be able to manually operate the factory reverse lights.

I didn’t realize there is only one plug on back of tail light for all lights until I pulled light off. It does have a green/brown wire included in the 6 wires going into the plug. Any idea what color wire coming off of trailer hook up is designated for reverse lights?

you said Lariat so I am assuming you have LED tail lights also. I’m attempting to hook up VLED’s new LED license plate bracket. Row of LED’s across the top.

I chickened out and checked the manual. On the back side of 7 way the white is the ground wire and green/brown like you mentioned is reverse.
Installed VLED's new license plate light bar (not sure of exact name), but mounts across top of your license plate. I have what looks like the same lights mounted in the exact same spot as Steve above and use them on a manual switch. I wanted these to work with reverse lights.
I don't get the glare on back up camera like I do from the ones mounted under the bumper.
