Hey everyone, so I’ve installed the factory LED headlights for my 2017 using the boosted grey goose designs harness, followed the forscan programming instructions but I’m having my low beams turn on with my parking lights. I was using the morimoto harness before and that was causing just the driver side low beam to turn on and flickering on the passenger low beam in cold temps.
Is there another part of the programming I’m missing to stop the low beams turning on when not supposed to? The only variable I have is that I set my DRL to turn signals but was like that before doing the conversion and worked just fine.
I believe this is the default halogen behavior, it is for my 2018. My truck is also US based so I had the option to disable DRL's in the cluster menu. My guess is this is just how it works when coming from an original halogen equipped truck.
Try turning off the DRL's in your menu if you have it, or code the option to turn them on/off in forscan. Maybe also revert your DRL blinker setting to factory just to ensure that's not causing an issue (don't think it would be though honestly).
I did find this thread which contains a list of the various forscan changes they did:
My truck is a Canadian truck but that shouldn’t affect it since all the other trucks here function like the US trucks. The only real difference is that we don’t have the option to turn off DRL in the cluster but I have added that. Park lights functioned normally with no low beams with my old halogens in. I have tried putting DRL setting back to stock but no change.
