Can you provide a bit more info?
Do the speaker wires provide the feed for the amp, or is a new plug/harness required?

Can you L/R cab vent still breath?

Thanks

OK guys... bit the bullet, send me your blessings that I get a very nice clean low level output out of this truck...

Originally we started with the OEM Sony sound system, we reprogrammed for low level output and de-equalization (thanks to LIVNITUP). We did a quick little test with a speaker and were getting all sync 3 voice commands from the low level outputs without any other mods to the wiring, we chose to get the low level outputs from behind of the truck where they went to the OEM Sony amp.

As you can see OEM Amp and sub are completely off the vehicle and not needed anymore, if this could not be done there´s no way in hell I would venture to add a system feeding of the Sony amp it would be terrible.

In a few hours I will know if this works or not... but it should and SQ should be excellent since I am not getting the outputs from the Sony amp which is heavily processed to work with the sub-par OEM speakers and also clips the signal A LOT over 75% volume. I will be getting the outputs directly from the ACM like any other aftermarket head-unit.

Thanks!
JC
Very interesting.

Keep us posted on how it turns out because i`d really like to see if this would be a viable option to the new PAC Kit for doing just this as well as the new kit from the OEM Infotainment website.

The PAC kit also has an optical output which would work very well with a processor like your Bit One.

Once you get it working I would be interested in how the center channel works for GPS since the low level output is inly front and rear (if I understand it correctly)

How difficult is it to get the door panels off? I don't think I'd go this far but I'd love to just upgrade the four door and center speaker on my Sony system.

Could you please let us know exactly where the low level outputs are that you hooked the amp up to?

Great work!

As door the door panels they seem easy to take off but my installer did it.

Same with the wire outputs I just gave my installer the wiring diagram and he took it from there, but its very clear he said.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Also how does navigation now work as I assume you disconnected your center speaker?

Speaker is connected but remember when doing the ACM mod everything is reprogrammed so that you get all the info you need out of four channels.

Everything works 100%

Default Need clarification

Sorry to resurrect a 1 year old thread but I'm a bit confused on where the low level outputs are coming from. I have the Sony amp, currently feeding high level outputs to my Audison Bit One. My JL Audio HD900/5 is then feeding my speakers using the factory wiring. Do I understand correctly that after making the ACM and APIM changes in Forscan, I can just splice RCA cables into the harness going into the Sony amp to get the low level outptuts? I always thought the signals going to the Sony amp were digital, or CAN Bus, or whatever...not analog. If so, what wire colors or pin positions correspond to each output? Also, if I wanted to do the two wire mod from the ACM to the APIM to retain my nav commands, where exactly would I need to do this?

I am having a problem with this, (I have a 2017 F150 Lariat with Sony sound system) first off on the ACM 727-01-01 xx5A xxxx xxxx, mine was already set to xx5x, and it doesn't seem the A changes much of anything.

Secondly, now that I've got that hooked up it turns on my amps and DSP (Moscow 8to12 aerospace DSP and Mosconi Zero 4 amps) with voltage coming out of the RCA's anytime I press lock/unlock, and stays on after my my truck and the radio has shut off, has anyone else had this happen? I've tried both taking the signal from the wires coming from the ACM, or taking the signal back where the Sony DSP use to be. If I hook up all 4 channels to the DSP it makes all the amps go into protection mode. Not sure what has gone wrong here.
