Default 2017 Limited availability

I'm beginning a search for a March-April purchase. I drove a 2017 Limited today which I really liked. Two dealers told me if I see what I want I should buy it. They said each dealer is only allotted so many per year model and it can be difficult to find one on short notice. The other option is to order which I could do. Am I getting good information from my dealers about availability? I've found what I want but I'm not ready to purchase at this time. Any thoughts appreciated.

My guess is that is more of a sales tactic than anything. There is some truth to the point that finding a Limited with the exact color/interior/options combination that you desire might not be easy, however not impossible give you always have the ability to order.

My advice would be keep the purchase on your time table not the dealer's. If they are truly interested in selling you a truck they won't care if it's this month or three months from now.

Best of luck, those Limiteds are a very nice ride!

Go to Ford's build and price and put it out there to get prices from dealers. Competition is a great thing.

Search dealer inventory online, especially the largest volume dealers within 4hr drive radius.

Out of state distant dealers KNOW they gotta get real on pricing if they have any hope of you making that trip.......all negotiation is done online/phone.
