Good evening gentleman, I'm looking for advice. Im looking at purchasing a new(to me) truck. I currently have a 04 Ram ½ ton with 200k. I really like the 17 FX4 units and I've found 3 of them that I really like except all three of them are Lemon/ Buy back units. What is the deal with these units? All of them say:
*18M02 California emissions warranty parts
*18L02 California emissions warranty parts
*18N03 door latch freezing concern
Is there a way to tell what this is and a way to tell why the vehicle was purchased back? How is there a California emissions issue if the vehicle is from MI, or NY and never been registered in CA?

It's driving me nuts, all three of these trucks are exactly what I want, but I don't want to get screwed by a lemon.

 

My 2016 was lemon law for its frozen door handles. My only advice: RUN.
