Default 2017 f150 3.5 ecoboost strange noises

Hey everyone,

Bought this truck brand new in July. So far she's made a lot of noises. The gear driven trans pump, torque converter and transmission control module (AKA valve body) have been replaced so far.

The truck had a start up rattle that has been mostly fixed but I'm hearing another startup rattle and a lot of other noises. Some say wastegate but I'm not sure. Truck will be heading back to dealer soon.

Here's some videos that might help:

What's everyone else think?

Truck currently has just over 5k miles.

Thanks!

The 3.5 ecoboost makes many unfamiliar noises. The wastegates rattle, the cam phasers still rattle, and there are some PCV issues causing weird sounds too.

I am not sure if it is normal or not, but my 2017 3.5 eco screw makes similar noises. I have a startup rattle and a train horn when I shut it off. Not sure if they are PCV issues or timing chain, but with only 10k miles I feel your pain.,,

I have been following your videos. I have exactly the same noises and Im ready to lemon this truck I swear. The dealer cant duplicate the rough shifting and I'm pissed. I love it but if they can't fix it.....

I'm really hoping to avoid that. I may have to push for a buyback.

I just went through the this on a 2016 XC90. Into a fully loaded 2018 at no cost to me. I worked with Volvo directly too. Great experience with it. LONG list of problems
