I'd be interested in seeing a picture of that on your display. Also if any higher level 2.7 owners out there could check and see if they have that as well? Would be interesting to know as well.
You can't do "anything" on your instrument cluster/steering wheel controls? On my Lariat, if you go all the way to the right and choose "settings", then "advanced settings" and finally to "vehicle", you can enable or disable the "Auto Engine Off" mode. Before I bought my truck, I test drove a 501A Lariat 2.7 EB and with in "NOT" in "tow" or "4X4" mode the engine did not turn off at stop lights. I asked my salesman about it and he was dumbfounded. After I bought my truck, I did a little exploring and found this on my Lariat.

They say there is nothing wrong.

I can do a lot, but not as much as the Lariats and up.

Ok looking at the OM, I see that your Display must be a Type 3...

I have no idea as to why you would even have that feature if it is useless.
I don't think any of the 2.7's have that (maybe because we have the button on dash?) or it would have been mentioned for sure somewhere in all the threads pertaining to the Auto Start/Stop.

Looks like my next truck will not be a Ford if there isn't a way to permanently disable the stop-start feature due to the way I use my truck. I keep my trucks running to keep the engine warmed up as well as to charge things getting charged up.

There is a way, in another thread. Just need a "jumper wire" in the switch. You're welcome.
