They're all like that here ... Oh, it's most likely YOUR fault too!

Sadly, many are not. There was a copy of the work order for this job and it stated to reuse oil. Very surprising.

Update: Dealer verified the leak at the plastic oil pan. Solution is to replace the whole oil pan. Waiting on parts, be ready tomorrow. They have been good to work with and very professional.

That is great and terrible news all at the same time. Great that you have a good dealer to work with and it is being taken care of. Terrible that the whole pan has to be replaced. I don't like the idea of an engine being exposed like that after assembly. That and being without it for that time.
My 15 had to have front cover replaced for a leak when I bought it last month. 2 weeks later I went to bed one night fine, woke up next morning to a 10 inch diameter oil spot under it. to spring a leak like that over night is crazy. They dropped the skid plate right in the service check in lane and had a guy clean it up and verify that it was residual from the previous cover work where the guy didn't clean the truck after.

Leaks suck.

Crawled under my truck yesterday and sure enough I have oil on my oil pan. I'll be calling the dealer today. I'm shocked that they say to reuse the oil, seems like an unnecessary step that could cause problems. I have some free oil changes that came with the truck so I'll have them use one of those I guess.

Update (again): Local dealership had to request the oil pan from Michigan, none on the West Coast. They decided to send it via FedEx, but it didn't arrive until late Friday afternoon. They have had it since Wednesday 8am. Now they claim it will be done Monday since its a 3.5 hour job that requires the front suspension to be removed and a front-end alignment. Since its NASCAR weekend in NorCal, there are no rental cars available. Starting to boarder on the side of ridiculous. The truck has 730 miles on it, I just made my second payment, and I am walking.

Sorry you guys are having this issue.

Just checked my oil pan at 800 mi. Dec 2016 build date with no signs of leaks around the pan.

Just hit 2,000 miles today and went to do my early first oil change (the rest will be by the light or Blackstone) and my oil pan is leaking on passenger side. Yay! My oil level is full though so I'm going to try and get through the 4th of July Weekend and drop it off July 3rd unless they can promise it done by this upcoming Friday.

December 2016 build date.

Not trying to start another EB vs Coyote argument, but just curious - is the oil pan on the 5.0L composite material as well or is it metal?

I believe all engine choices have composite oil pan.
