Default 2017 3.5 Eco, 10 speed transmission surge

2017 3.5 Eco, 10 speed.
Sometimes driving at low speeds (parking lot), when it shifts from 1st, it skips 2nd and goes to 3rd. When it does this, the vehicle sort of "jumps/surges". Almost to the point I have to hit the brake to slow it down. Anyone ever notice this?
Sorry if this has been covered.

Oh, I do too. Startling the first few times it happened but I've noticed it quickly settles. You do feel the torque pull when it locks into 3rd. Happens for me only when cold pulling out onto the street. Same scenario: 1st right to 3rd. I do have my foot steady on the accelerator. Haven't caught the reading on the tachometer when this happens because I'm just past my left turn apex out of the driveway.

Nope... no boost. I think its just the throttle trying to compensate for the lower revs on the shift. Then it over compensates causing the surge.

Agree - very slow acceleration. It occurs when leaving 65' of driveway and turning left onto the residential road. Not much acceleration at that time. I haven't noticed it after the engine has run for a minute or more.

I've noticed trans temps are important in this truck. When cold, shifts are a little more firm. Once the trans is up to temp (fluid warm) it's much, much smoother.

Me Too!
No matter how softly I press the accelerator I can't get it to go thru 2nd. It always jumps to 3rd.
Maybe it's really only a 9 spd tranny and the 2 on the display is just a phantom. Haha

I don't have a link for you, but I've read where others had a software update done that took care of this
