Interesting. Not nearly enough there to get me out of the '16 just yet.

So the 2017 3.5 ecoboost is a little quicker and a little more efficient.

I think all here could have predicted that. But thanks for the video.

All the trucks in the MPG test had 3:31 rears.

Nice to see some improvement.
Evolutionary, not revolutionary

All of it needs defined. Like a little faster? That's 6-7% grade towing something like 9k? Also what was the distance? The mpg difference does show gains but I wanna see a real test. Yeah I see as expected gains engine and trans. The only real thing I pulled out of it is it looks like the trans is sorted out. No hunting, slamming or abnormalities. That's a big one. Of course it was a short drive.

It's interesting that Ford and GM developed the 10 speed tranny together, but Ford is the only one to deliver the 10 speed tranny in 2017. I guess GM is busy developing an aluminum body for the Sierra, and Silverado!

unloaded about the same . .05 difference is nothing.

The towing was also minimal improvement. The mpg gain may be more significant at over 5%. But still not as much as one would think... Kind of disappointing.

Been on the fence of 16 or wait for 17...I don't see enough here to prolong this, and not jump on a better deal for a 16

what exactly are the MPG numbers on new 3.5. I don't see ford mentioning them anywhere at all. just HP and TQ.
