Default 2016 Trailer Message on Start-Up

I know I've seen numerous comments about the Trailer Status screen, in some different threads. I guess I'd like to consolidate them here.

It seems to me, with the integral TBC, the truck senses the trailer is connected at start-up. I've also noticed the the "Accumulated Mileage" also goes up, without the trailer connected. What would cause this?? I know I haven't pulled my trailer over 200 miles this week, since it's been hooked up for, at most, 50. Is this just an anomaly with the'16 & the TBC???

While the truck can tell you have hooked up a trailer, it for some dumb reason can't tell you have disconnected it.. You have to go into the trailer screen and select NoTrailer...

I'm really impressed with this system overall. I've pulled this same trailer with my '01, and the difference is night and day. I'm going to like it even better once I get some good LT truck tires and get the "squishy" feel out of the ride.

We're going to be RVing close to full time beginning next year and I think we have made a good choice with the new truck. I just LOVE the sound of the 5.0 whenever you jump on it. The wife's really gotta get used to the nose of the truck vs. her old '14 Escape.
