My 2016 comes with the factory tow package. How can i test if the trailer hook ups need to be "programmed by the factory"? I read that you have to pay the dealer to activate them. Since i bought this truck used, i don't know if they are activated or not.

 

The 7 and 4 pin plugs should be active. I bought mine used too and they worked. I did take it in and have the trailer brake controller installed and programmed.
