Hello all, so some of you may have read in the 2017 android auto thread that I have version 2 of Sync 3 in my truck. If not here is a quick overview of my truck. Its a '16 Lariat built in dearborn on July 19th. (Sorry for the large pics)

Here is a menu option to check for software updates. Though I have read here that if you currently have version 1 that if you check for updates that it will say it is currently on the latest version.

So tonight after leaving the hospital visiting my dad. I wanted to do this to help get my mind off of things. So I plugged in my phone and here are the step by step that I have to go through.




Then on my phone Android auto started to download and install. Here are the phone screen shots.

After the phone steps are done, then this is the steps I had to go through on Sync3 system.

Thanks for the write up. Oh man. Here we go.

The good news is the update is hopefully almost ready for those with just sync 3 1.0

I wonder if CarPlay would work. Have an iPhone handy?

Awesome - Thanks much for taking the time to post this information. I cannot wait for the upgrade to rollout to the rest of us!

Sorry no I don't have an iPhone handy. I really hope that Ford is ready to release the update to all the sync3 users.
