Cracks me up seeing some raptor owners get all butt hurt that the Eco will be the motor of choice for the new raptor. Ford knows its a better motor so they are moving forward. I hope the 6.2 loyalist don't cry even more when the new raptors are making more power and beating them at every light not to mention the better towing and hauling.

Really? When did this happen? Must have missed that memo...

What cracks me up is all the Egoboost owners who get offended when someone points out they are missing two cylinders...

I would give up two more if I knew I could have more power torque. Hell for ****s and giggles I would have a 1 Cylinder motor if it was a better TQ and hp. No one offended here.. Lets hope the new raptor motor is a Egoboost. I know someone well connected to ford the new raptor motor is a 3.5 retuned and bigger turbos making over 400hp. He has seen the motor on the dyno and provided input to Ford. He has sat in the new raptor.... Hell there is a 2015 (standard truck) and 2015 mustang at his shop right now

That's great you feel that easy. Thats your OPINION. But you still haven't answered where this supposed new Raptor motor news came from. Or am I to conclude you made it up?

Just so we are clear. Don't want anybody to become butthurt over rumor and speculation....

EDIT: oh, you know someone? Excellent. That clears THAT up.

As I am not going to get anyone in trouble with Ford. I'm not going to say anything more. Just don't get upset when it comes out For now lets just call it speculation. I can point and laugh at the butthurt later. Needless to say once released I will order that day.

I don't care either way...well I'll miss the sound of the v8 from the EB...but if it's cranking out the same power or more, Ford would not want to have two engines of the same power in the Raptor. It's prob a great opportunity to tout the EB and that's what I would expect them to do. Market the EB again and say "look what it does in the Raotor". Ford had always said they want to move to nearly all EBs in the future so....

Well, I heard from someone who has a cousin married to the sister of the boyfriend of the admin assistant of the chief engineer at Ford, and they tell me the new Raptor will actually be a v10 with a flux capacitor and anti-grav generators.

Don't be upset when they bypass the Ecoboost PR fiasco with this new fangled time machine engine. It will have a automatic safety feature if the engine blows up it will jump back in time 30 seconds and shut itself off.

They initially developed it for the Ecoboost but decided to only include it in the Raptor since it traditionally sells closer to MSRP and they can recoup the cost of the flux capacitors.

You heard it here first.

Nearly all. Really? So which model do you think they might not want to move to a EB? Fiesta? Focus?
