16 fx4 5.0. Anyone else having issues with steering or can point me in right direction. When I slowly turn the steering wheel back and forth I get a strange feeling back. I can feel what can only be described as if the steering wheel is going over a gear.....almost like I can feel the teeth of the rack and pinion as the pinion nut goes over the rack. Ford dealer is saying it's normal in 4 wheel drive models. It drives me crazy....at high speeds it's almost as if the steering wheel gets stuck.

 

It doesn't sound right, I have the same set up as you and mine is silky smooth.
