Default 2016 power fold mirror conversion

I know this has been brought up several times in the thread, but I can't seem to find information on what I'm looking for.

I bought a set of power fold mirrors from a 2022 F150. The mirrors fit. I bought the 22 pin jumper harness and the door modules with blis ( I read you have to have the module for blis to add power fold). After installing the mirrors/modules/harness and activating in Forscan, the mirror makes a sound like it wants to fold but then won't move. If i press the fold button again, no sound until i turn the truck off and back on. The turn signals on the mirror work, parking lights work normal, just can't get the auto fold to happen.

Yes I did confirm the mirrors work prior to purchase. Any suggestions on if i am missing something?

you could be having crossed wires, meaning that the top arm might be wanting to fold out and the lower arm folding in.

when you say “jumper harness” what year truck did you use? Might have to do some re-pinning.

Your 2016 truck does not have the ambient air probe set in the mirrors, Its in the grill and those mirrors probably do. After mid 2018 the mirror design went that way and this could be a factor causing that issue.

Sorry, the jumper harness im referring to the door harness.
I havent tried swapping any pins yet, wasn't sure if that would be the case and where to look to find the right information.

You are correct, the mirror does have the ambient air probe that I (for obvious reasons) left disconnected. I hope that's not the case, but if it is oh well, time to manual fold 😂
