2016 p1450
My check engine light came on. It has a P1450 so I looked it up. My truck is running fine so I figure the purge valve must be sticking closed. I took the valve off and sprayed some throttle body cleaner in it. I would like to hook it up to some electricity to open it for better cleaning and test it. Last clean lasted for two days before code came back. Can Forscan monitor the evap system real time? I am not sure when the purge valve opens and the tank vent closes. I thought that would be pretty cool if you could see if the PCM was trying to operate them. I hate to be a parts replacer. Everthing I see on YouTube says P1450 means replace the purge valve. Over the last year I have had an issue with the idle every now and then, but no codes. I even had it die on me twice pulling into gas stations on long trip pulling a trailer. I just figured I had got a batch of bad gas.
