Let us know if you can place an order! I called my dealership and he seemed to think it would be 3-6 weeks before orders could be placed. Granted, he is new and may not be in the know. I might call the sales manager I bought my last truck from to see what he knows.

This is the reply I got from a dealer today when I told him I had the order guide and was ready to order.

"Thank you for sending the information on the 2016 Ford F-150 option list. I checked with My New car manager they tell me that yes this List came out yesterday. But Ford will not give any Dealership the Order Book until November then the vehicle will be in around March of 2016. We just checked all of the Ford systems to order one. they all are closed. We even called Ford Motor company to check and see if there was a Pre - Ordering system that we can work with. They told us no that the ordering System will available in November. I will stay in touch with you if anything changes. Give me a call if you have any questions."

If anyone hears anything different please speak up.

???? seems weird since they are scheduled to start production of the 16s on 10/12???

Sorry but your dealer is full of crap. Why would the 2016 Explorers be on their lots in July but the same year F150 comes out 7 months later. I got the same run around from a local dealer trying to shove a 2015 on me.

Just based on conversations I've had with 2 separate dealers one in OH one in KY, that dealership is either run by morons or they are outright lying to you. Either way it would not inspire me to buy a truck from them.

The orders are open. Before this guide came out, what I'll call today, my dealer and I walked through ordering one. I did not pull the trigger though as he was in some old program, what they called their "DOS system". Some blue screen terminal looking crap. The options didn't line up as well with what I had in my head from the countless time's I'd built out a truck on-line and I was concerned something would get missed or they'd unintentionally screw it up. So I decided to wait for this to actually show up.

There is also a dealer on my way to work, that I stopped in at to look at a 2015 KR that they had when so many other dealers did not. They also told me they could order a 2016 for me, the only caveat was, "... as long as your comfortable doing so knowing that we just don't have the pricing yet".

Hell maybe everyone's been lying to me. However, given that I've been to two separate dealers in two separate states (that are NOT affiliated with one another) and gotten pretty much the same response from each, it seems unlikely.

I've got time set up with the guy who orders the trucks at my dealer, to put an order in on Friday. If for some reason this goes awry, I'll let you know, of course, but if I were you'd I'd call around to other dealers and ask as what they said to you is completely contrary to everything I've been told.

Don't be sorry, you may well be correct. I was just passing along the email I got from one dealer. The guy that does our fleet purchases is checking with his contacts for me and I will pass along any feedback I get from him.

My dealer just emailed me a few minutes ago. He said come on in and we'll order me a 16.

Whoever orders a 2016 this week, can you confirm whether the dealers have pricing available.

I checked today Stans and there was still no pricing from the dealers or from calling and speaking with Ford directly.

If you're trying to gauge the increase, don't base it on the 2014 to 2015 numbers as they are way off what normal model changes are compared to a completely new model of a truck being released, which is what happened in 2015.

Soon as I see anything though I'll definitely let you know.
