Question 2016 Lariat

I've read about and have seen the petition that people are signing for the 2016 Lariat seats which are bunching and issues with the cooling part of the seat.

I'm contemplating trading in my F150 FX4, 5.0 2014 on a 2016 Lariat 5.0 so I'm interested in these and any other issues that may be common place on the 2016's.

Are these vehicles with the defects primarily made in Mexico?

I've seen many 2016 with leather on the lot where the leather is bunched up brand new and I'd like to order one but afraid of what my be delivered.

Is there any way to insist that I'll only purchase this vehicle if it's on made in the U.S.A.?

Thanks for any input.

All of Ford trucks are made in USA. F150- Dearborn, MI and Kansas City, MO, Super Duty- Louisville, KY. The seats are made by a vendor.

Ah, didn't know that, thanks! I wonder if they have different vendors for the seats.

3400 miles on my 2016 2.7 made in KCMO and no bunching. As is in most cases while some are truly having issues with the seat leather bunching the majority is not.

Thanks folks, nice too hear that it may NOT be the norm.

Although I have myself noticed quite a few on the lot that have loose or bunched leather brand new.

The problem is will the Dealer Ford make good on it or just say that's normal, LOL!

FORD use to have a higher quality standard and while they are still probably better than others, they should never put off an issue when it comes to taking care of the customer when they're the ones that created the issue.

It's just to easy to live off your reputation.

Yes, I'm a FORD guy and always have been.

I just got my 2016 last week and love everything about it. You won't regret it.

edit: if you haven't already take the 3.5 EB for a test drive before you finalize your order

Thanks but if I did decide on the EB, I would have to order a 2017 because the engine has been completely redesigned from the bottom up per ford video.

I'd still probably go for the 5.0 though.
