Excuse me beforehand , first time buying a Ford . Selling my Toyota Tacoma for a 2016 F150 XLT super crew cab w/ 5.0 V8.
Just started looking and with items I like Vehicle stickers out at $48,500.00 - $49,500.00
I like some features on a LARIAT model but sticker is $51,000.00 -$52,000.00
I actually found a leftover 2015 lariat but do t know if I want to buy a2 yr old truck?
Does anyone know how great the incentives are on XLT vs. LARIAT ?
Or 2015 vs. 2016 ?
Any help would be great! Looking in New England / New York region
Btw, I want Green gem color which I have read is no longer availible

 

Lariat has ALOT of un noticed (few topics on the difference) features over the XLT. As far as rebates, the XLT will always have stronger cash back rebates.. rates will be the same for models. As far as 15 vs 16, options are similar, 16 has sync 3. If you go through FOMCO the 15 will have much better rates and rebates.

Incentives can vary by zip code. As of now, in upstate NY they are:
2015 XL - $4250
2015 XLT - $5250
2015 Lariat - $3550
2105 KR - $3000
2015 Plat - $3000

2016 XL - $3500
2016 XLT - $4750
2016 Lariat - $2800
2016 KR - $2000
2016 Plat - $2000
2016 Limited - $1000

There are also other incentives not listed above, e.g. $300 on 2.7L EB, $500 Ford Credit (must finance), etc. There is also a $1000 "Ford Smart Bonus" rebate on certain models (oldest 10% in inventory).

I bought a 2015 leftover in January. Having said that, I wouldn't consider a 2015 now unless the deal was truly exceptional. (I got my XLT w/302A at 23% off MSRP in January 2016, and I would not consider that good enough if purchasing now given the 2017's will soon be here.)
