Default 2016 - HD Payload Option?

There are other recent posts and board members referencing ability to again order the HD Payload option for 2016. Can anyone please confirm what is included in the HD Payload that differs from the regular frame/springs/wheel & tire package? Cost of this option? Please and thanks.

Late availability...I was last told late February or March.

The HD payload has a heavier frame. The steel is .150 inches thick on the Heavy Duty Payload box frame instead of .120 of regular frames.
It also includes:
• 3.73 Electronic-locking rear axle
• 9.75-inch gearset
• Upgraded springs and auxiliary transmission oil cooler
• XL: 17-inch Silver Steel Wheels
• XLT/LARIAT: 18-inch Silver Aluminum Wheels
Commercial-rated tires
also the Max Tow package is mandatory with the HD payload package, which includes:
• 4-pin/7-pin wiring harness
• Auxiliary transmission oil cooler
• Class IV trailer hitch receiver
• Smart Trailer Tow Connector (standard on LARIAT and higher)
• Integrated Trailer Brake Controller
• Upgraded front stabilizer bar
• Upgraded rear bumper
and also mandatory is is the pro trailer backup assist

Sticker price for the HD Payload $1695 and Max Tow $1095. You have to get both.

Other options and packages are limited when selecting the HD Payload; no two-tone paint, no trim level higher than Lariat, no moonroof, no technology package, no chrome or sport package, no stereo upgrade, etc. are available.

^Thanks Velo. Local dealer dug around to answer same question, also suggested HDP only available with 5.0L which did not seem right when looking at your HD order with ECB?

Available only with 3.5 Ecoboost or 5.0. Ecoboost gives the highest towing capacity. Payload is nearly the same with either.

Is the HD Payload package the ONLY way to get the 9.75" gears?

Can anyone shed some light on the question above? Is there a way to get the 9.75" gearset without getting the HD Payload Package?
