I am having difficulty getting information on when, or whether, my F-150 with HD Payload will be built. My dealer can't seem to get me anything other than "scheduling=mid May" and a call to Ford Customer Service seems to be routing me back to the dealer. My order was placed on January 20, 2016.

Has anyone taken delivery of a 2016 with HD Payload? Does anyone have better information from their dealer / Ford on when, or whether, the HD Payload will be built?

Don't want to cancel the order and take something less, or a different truck, if it will eventually be built, but also don't want to lose the whole summer of camping just to find out that they decided not to build any this model year.

Apparently they have built a few. There is a pic of one on a lot in the 163" wheelbase thread

 

According to Donlen:

"Constraint on Crew Cab (W1C/W1E) 4x2/4x4 with 6.5’ box and 5.0L/3.5L GTDI (99F/99G) WITH Heavy Payload Pkg (627) – Late 2Q 2016"

Hope it gets built before your summer camping trips.

 

that's my concern - spent a lot of time on this rainy afternoon today searching inventory and chatting with dealers - the couple I found that actually know what the HD Payload package is confirmed that these are delayed and there aren't any on dealer lots in the configuration I ordered.

May have to go back to the calculator and re-calculate my expected loads and see if I can live with an XLT with my specifications but without the HD Payload.

i have one on order as well and have my fingers crossed that they actually do build it for us.

mine is going to be a Lariat 500a with some options added.

i currently have a 2014 XLT 302a that i'm going to unload and wait for my new truck.

I've been waiting since December 2014...and I hope they are built by June with no more delays!

Mine will be a 500A Lariat too.

"Scheduling mid-May" is a piece of info I have not heard, but seems to jive with my dealer saying June production.

 

I'd get your rig upgraded to the 501-2A for your patience. As a minimum the extended warranty and FFMP for free
