It is very possible to do. When I got my 2016 F150 I came across a grill from a Platinum so I picked it up. The grill was an exact fit for the XLT.
I was told they are all the same fit on the 2015-2016

I'm not worried about which grill is associated with a higher level trim package. I'm worried about what appeals to my eyes. I like the look of the grill on the X LT sport and also the lariat sport. I think the lariat sport grill looks a lot like the super duty grill and I liked that grill since it came out on the super duties

No, I'm painting a Rigid Grille with 30 inch Rigid light to match truck but you could paint Lariat or even the STX or Sport grille would look good color matched

Before and after pics (more like after and before) of a grill swap. King Ranch grill on my XLT... looks way better in my opinion.

I think a stock grill would look good painted body color, got my Rigid installed last week added some blue back leds, Ford Ghost light and rock lights just to light up with puddle lights on unlock. Plus while messing around added some Raptor replica lights and wired Halos to run always with ignition on

I stuck it in the center of the air dam little flat spot angled out PERFECT! Put them in the Bottom of both front doors also they turn on when you open doors (hooked to door light). They are twice as big of projection in door tho cause door is much higher with 6inch lift google Ford Ghost Lights or youtube it
