2016 F150 Screen issue - liquid damage?
Was driving, had to hit the breaks, a bit of coffee goes flying (literally a few drops), and within minutes my synch screen graphics start to look mangled. Within a day, I ended up with a blank synch screen. This was of course at 41K miles so just past the warranty. I don't have a backup camera, have radio presets, so in general, not the end of the world. However, I just now obtained a new phone that I want to try to pair with synch. I am finding this to be impossible, even after memorizing keystrokes (I think I have to input the phone code into the synch system using the display). Long story short, I have been unable to synch my new phone bluetooth to my truck. I have tried the power button/seek reset with no luck. I am sure my screen is shot (you would think there would be a decent seal on those screens but apparently not so...).
Any ideas for a workaround? Would a dealer be able to hook up an accessory screen somehow, just to connect my phone? Because this is mostly a #firstworldproblem, I am not too keen on dropping the coin for a new screen. I would be grateful for any ideas. It is a work truck, I am in it 3-4 hours a day, and am currently hammering out podcast consumption through a portable bluetooth speaker.
Thanks
Scott

Yeah, I appreciate the sentiment. Given the volume of vehicles purchased through the dealer by my business, they are usually pretty gracious when working with us. However, this may have given them a more polite out instead of the "hey dumba.., next time don't slam on the breaks with coffee in the cup holder." However, the volume was pretty darn low. I would think most anything in a vehicle would be able to manage the few droplets that landed on the screen.
