I am using an elmconfig adapter that I have always used. I'm trying to read known problems with my hivac but I don't see the module. Infact many modules are missing. I'm only seeing 4.

I also have a mongoose cable. Same issue.

ultimately I need to see if I have control of the blend doors.

 

Do your adapter have the HS/MS switch? FORSCAN will ask if it does and will tell you when to switch it.

 

If you have your trucks profile saved, delete it and then scan the truck again.

now I'm trying to get a mongoose cable to work. I have the settings correct per a thread by Jessi. I started a new profile. Again I'm missing most moduals. Selecting a old profile I see all the modules but I get unable to read dtc on all of them.
reason I'm trying to use the mongoose is when I used the elm forscan reported that my elm was not compatible. It did bring up the modules.

 

Weird. After installing the windows drivers for my Mongoose, FORScan picked it right up.

 

Good idea Kenny, @rvpilot try reinstalling Mongoose drivers.

 

The mongoose picked it up but showed only 5 moduals even after I deleted the profiles.
