Default 2016 F150 3in Rough Country on 35s

Hey guys, been a long time viewer of the forum but was waiting to post until I had my truck in shape.

Here is my 2016 F150 on the 3in Rough Country lift. 315/70/17 General Grabbers. Wheels are 17in with 12mm offset. I’m super happy with how it came out. Rides like a dream but looks like a truck!

I was looking at a 3" also, but the shop I went to told me that he has done them on both the F150's and the Chevy 1500 and every one of them the person has to keep coming back to have his front U joints replaced because 3" is just too much for the factory angel. You will have to let us know how it goes.

The CV angle is kind of sharp but I’ve been driving in New England all winter in and out of 4wd and I have been fine. This kit comes with upper control arms and corrects the ball jojnt angles.

My buddy has a Silverado 1500 with the 3.5 in rough country and hasn’t had any issues either. His kit comes with new UCA as well.

Ive been lifted up for 4 months now, no issues.

Your truck looks great! I know you said it rides like a dream, but how does it compare to stock? I’ve been trying to research this lift but it’s hard to find reviews on it. Nice Ride!

I had only the lift on for a few months and the new shocks that come with the kit in the rear are definitely better than stock. The front was a bit bouncier until it really broke in but I find it handles fine, a little firmer through the pot holes.

The biggest difference was going to the 6 ply tires. They’re a bit over aired right now so it’s stiff, but I’ll air them down tomorrow and see how that helps. Overall the grabbers are really quiet, and the lift didn’t dreadfully affect the ride.

How is the ride with that set up. I am interested in it as well, just don't like the idea that the front shocks are not replaced...

You could always replace the front shocks too. I likely will in the future, but not right now. I do a lot of highway travel, and go on cleared trails for work, the front end has handled it fine so far. You WILL feel a big pot hole in the road, but you wont feel bridge ties or minor cracks in the pavement.

The General Grabbers are A LOT quieter than I had expected, they were aired up to 55PSI when I got them, I put the fronts to 45 and rears to 40 and it was a night and day difference.. The only time I hear any noise from them is turning slowly in parking lots.

For a kit that doesn't require any frame cutting... I recommend it.

Looking at this same kit for mine. Are the crash bars intact? Couldn't find the answer in the thread and can't tell from the pics.
