2016 F-150 raptor conversion

There appears to be some confusion in this thread.
1) the coil bucket on a G2 Raptor is physically in a different place (higher up) than non Raptors and G1s.
2) the rear shock will bolt on to non Raptors and G1s. It's already been done on both.
3) aside from marketing BS, there are two (2) items that contribute to it's off road prowess - Torsen in the front and a solid MID travel suspension - the 'modes' etc are nothing more that bragging rights, my G1 will go anywhere a G2 will go.
4) it's only ~8k to convert a non Raptor to a mid travel clone and that includes the $500 torsen in the front - thats the 'doing it right' cost - fenders, gears, tires, etc.
5) a non Raptor with a uni uca (and 3 over arms, etc) will pull the same 13ish inches up front that the G2 provides - there is no magic involved
Raptors are great trucks, but folks have been building prerunners in their driveways for DECADES. If you don't want to spend the money, you absolutely can equal / exceed Raptor performance for less money - you just don't have a factory truck or a warranty.
I have TWICE the cost of a G2 in my G1 and even I think they are overpriced, but they look cool as hell and they have a rabid following so folks pay the money.

My truck is a toy not an investment. I don’t expect to get more money for it. I have real investments that give me return. I didn’t buy a raptor because i couldn’t justify trading my truck in and stroking a check for 30k when i could build mine the way i want.

Agree'd well said.
There is a mystical affect actual Raptor ownership has on some people in that they can not believe any truck on the planet would be as good as a Raptor. There is a segment of ownership that gives the general Raptor crowd a bad name by their ignorance. I truly love my G2 mid travel truck but every time I see a nice G1 Raptor, I get itchy thinking about buying another one

I haven't been on the forum for awhile as I have been tackling my Raptor conversion on my 2017 Ford F150 STX. But, I'm currently running all gen2 Raptor suspension minus the shocks as I went with the 10-14 Raptor King coilovers Part #30001-401. And King piggybacks for the rear. I found a new take off rear leaf springs from Aftermarket HQ in Las Vegas, and swapped out my stock f150 leaf springs. For body parts, I originally bought McNeil Racing fiberglass for both front and rear, but didn't like the fitment, so I ended up buying OEM body parts. The cost to get the McNeil to fit correctly will cost more than just buying OEM parts as the lines fitted up perfectly, and it helps that I work for Ford (discounts). My whole front end is complete, and I'll start dealing with the bedsides in a couple of weeks.

Yep, 100% jealous. Beautiful truck. I’d love to get the raptor fenders and headlight shrouds. One day, hopefully!

What size rear block are you running?
