Default 2016 backup camera zoom?

Our 2016 sync screen has a magnifying glass icon when the backup camera is on. Is there a zoom feature that will give us a larger image?

Are you asking if you can make it larger then after you have pressed the magnifying glass? If so, I don't believe so.

From the manual :

Manual Zoom
WARNING
When manual zoom is on, the full area behind your vehicle may not show. Be aware of your surroundings when using the manual zoom feature.Note: Manual zoom is only available when the transmission is in reverse (R).
Note: Only the centerline shows when you enable manual zoom.
Selectable settings for this feature are Zoom in (+) and Zoom out (-). Press the symbol on the camera screen to change the view. The default setting is Zoom OFF.
This allows you to get a closer view of an object behind your vehicle. The zoomed image keeps the bumper in the image to provide a reference. The zoom is only active while the transmission is in reverse (R).

If you have the smaller screen, you press the corresponding hard button below the screen to activate the zoom.

The zoom is great for hitching a trailer.

That is what I was thinking. But I cannot get the image to zoom in or out. I tried the buttons below the screen but the one that is in the third position just turns the magnifying glass icon on and off?

My sync 3 screen has a big + on the upper left. Press the + and the colored lines dissappear leaving just the center line with a major zoom. Nice for a trailer.

I can't find any different instructions for the 4.2 screen.
