Hey gents, I have a 2016 f150 with the 360 camera setup

seems my backup camera is going out, can anyone direct me to a replacement?

is the 360 backup camera different than the non-360 camera?

 

IIRC the differences were between trucks that have and don't have pro backup assist. I looked up by my 16 Platinum and only found one listing

ah ****, well I have pro backup assist as well, not that I use it

 

I replaced the backup camera in a 19 XLT which did not have pro backup assist or 360 cam, the price from Ford for that camera was 49 dollars, but it is only listed for 18-20. I'm surprised this one is so much.

You could always "trust but verify" and pop your camera out and check the part number, but the one I linked appeared to be the only one listed for 2016.

 

Thanks, I'm just gonna order it up and see how it goes, its only $50 online for a non-oem and I'll take my chances vs paying what they are asking.

 

check the ground wire on the camera. Jump it out and see if the camera image returns. The ground is unshielded and therefore corrodes easily

 

Good luck with the non OEM. BTW if you go OEM, it most likely will need to be calibrated by either using Forscan yourself or a dealer.
