The history of oil goes something like this:
1. Traditional oil change intervals were 5-6000 miles.
2. Synthetic oil is born. It's not actually mysterious (or "synthetic") it's just more precise than the height it is siphoned off from the cracking tower.
3. Jiffy Lube arrives and culturally indoctrinates the country by effective neurolinguistic programming of the phrase "Change your oil every three thousand miles."
4. The internet is born. Various "What the [insert "car makers" or "oil companies"] don't want you to know" conspiracy theories are offered?
5. Synthetic oil continues to improve. So does regular oil.
6. Jiffy Lube (now joined by other profiteers) continues to lie
7. Message forums create a whole new wave of self-annointed oil experts who repeat some conspiracy theory they read (or heard from their pops.)
8. Chaos ensues.
9. Jiffy Lube continues to lie.
7. Synthetic oil continues to improve. So does regular oil.
Today, you can't buy a bad name-brand oil. synthetics have very long lives, and Blackstone can provide proof. Nothing is gained by short oil changes and maintained-as-recommended engines routinely last 2-300,000 miles.
There's no argument left to have.

Thank you for providing the oil analysis results. The results were close. This is a very informative data set to provide. I would recommend the Ford synthetic blend!
