Better yet, just send me $200. It will cost you the same as a catch can, you'll get the same benefit if you bought a catch can, and I will have $200.

I'd like to counter his offer by accepting $100. I will also tell you that by giving me $100 your truck's efficiency has increased by 0.0069420%.

Let me know.

Why is a catch can a waste of money? Based on the YouTube videos I watch, multiple ford mechanics say it's pretty much an essential item to preventing issues with the engine down the road. Is this not true?

This is a topic that has been debated to death - then resurrected and debated some more.

That said, if you want a UPR clean and dirty side can, PM me. I am going to spend even more money on a CAC solution. Mine is brand new in the box.

Installed by recommendation of my service department at Ford I have the UPR Dual, Not sure it actually helps, However it does remove some type of crap from the system.(some type of oil/water mix that smells like burned hair). I felt it was cheap insurance to prevent the issues We had with a direct injected VW turbo that had to have it's valves cleaned at 22k and again at 38k(got rid if it @ 39k) dealer wouldn't cover under warranty, but admitted it was an issue with those motors. Also with the other mods on mine it can't hurt. I got a deal on mine as UPR is actually real near to where I live, and I just stopped by and got a great discount

i have the UPR on my 2.7 and I'm amazed at how much oil it collects. A catch can is never a waste, there are no downsides.
