Default 2016 150 winch

Has anyone put a WARN winch on a ROUGH COUNTRY hidden mount behind front bumper?

If you have one of the turbo engines, the intercooler will be in the way. You can buy a high mount intercooler (like Full Race brand) to free up the space for a hidden winch.

I used the Rough Country hidden mount for my 14 with the 5.0 just a week ago. I installed a 9500 lb Smittybilt winch. As long as you keep the winch size down the brand of winch shouldn't matter, the winch mounting holes are all the same. I'm not sure I'd have had room for a 12,000 lb winch.

Overall I'm very pleased with the results. I found the mount on Amazon for $199. That was the least expensive option that I found and I really like have the winch behind the bumper and out of the way. The total weight of the winch and mount is about 120 lbs and being behind the bumper helps. I can't feel any difference in how it drives.. Most of the other mount options required much heavier mount systems that hang well in front of the bumper. I could have kept the weight down to about 100 lbs with synthetic rope instead of steel cable but for a variety of reasons decided steel worked better for me. Being $120 more was a big part of it..
