2015 XLT Tow mirror swap

2015 XLT Tow mirror swap
I just purchased a new 2015 XLT from the lot with the tow package and it has regular side mirrors. I assumed (bad idea) that I could swap them out with the manual tilt, manual telescopic, power glass, heated tow mirrors. Salesman said no problem but now that I own it they cannot help me.
I cannot find them anywhere! Not from Ford or from the aftermarket.
Having a hard time backing up trailers with the convex passenger side mirror.
Anyone know if towing mirrors are available for my 2015 XLT with power glass, heated, and turn signals only?
Thank you

Yeah, you can get the all manual tow mirrors from Ford Accessories for $350. I think the only way to get the power glass/heated tow mirrors is to buy them from Ford parts...and they are a lot more expensive.

I got these for mine for under $300 and they work great. You can add power tow mirrors but they cost alot and you need harnesses and modules to make them work.

Some of the responses on this thread are kind of inaccurate so I'll try to help clear it up a bit considering this is something I have heavily researched.
First off, I believe these two links are for the tow mirrors that have power + heated, no power fold/telescoping, BLIS, or 360 degree camera. I would verify this before buying though.

When it comes to wanting to switch your regular mirrors for tow mirrors, the biggest influence is whether or not you have spot lights on your regular mirrors. Two scenarios occur:
1. Easier switch. Your regular mirrors have spot lights (aka the white 22-pin connector). Makes switching to tow mirrors very easy. All you have to do is buy the same-featured tow mirrors as your regular mirrors and then swap them out.
2. This is by far a much bigger pain, and the one I would have to deal with to get the tow mirrors I'd want. If you have regular mirrors without spotlights (aka the 8-pin black connector), you will have to buy new door harnesses, one for each side, which are linked now.

On top of this, you'll have to buy the same-featured mirrors. I do not know for certain if this requires new door control modules if you are staying with the same features. If you feel extra motivated, you can actually add power fold, power telescoping, and spotlights, but this would require you to:
1. Run new wires to the 22-pin harness that powers the mirror.
2. Buy new tow mirrors that have every feature but BLIS and 360 degree camera
3. Buy new door control modules
4. Buy a new switch module. Linked here: http://www.oemfordpart.com/oe-ford/fl3z14529ba
5. Have a Ford dealership flash your vehicle with the same information from a Lariat that has power fold/power telescoping.
Hope this helps you out. Finding this out for myself, when I thought it would be as easy as the 09-14 regular to tow mirror switch, was a huge disappointment. Not only that, but the cost to switch is about 6 times as much as the 09s-14s.

Thanks FlatBlack XD, I need the 8 pin plug type. Power glass, heated and turn signal only. I did research the fl3z17683ad and 82ad mirrors you referenced and Ford tells me that these are power telescopic and power folding with what they think is the 22 pin harness plug. They are not sure and said I must buy them first and if they are not what I want I can return them for a 20% restocking charge. Not any dealer, Ford parts & accessories, or Ford customer service have any clue what parts are available.
If I switch to these mirrors I will need the mirrors, wiring harnesses, door control modules, door switches and the computer flashed with information from a Lariat for the bargain price of around $3000! and they cannot even guarantee that this will work.
This is a $165 option that you can order.
It's buyer beware at the Ford dealer. Do not believe a dealer that says no problem!
It is a problem because Ford does not have the correct tow mirrors with power glass, heat and turn signals only. Hopefully they will discover that there are a lot of F150 max tow package owners out there that need tow mirrors without all of the other bells and whistles and the make them available to us in the near future.
It is hard to believe that if you have the max tow package with the integrated brake controller you do not get the tow mirrors. You get a convex mirror with a convex spot mirror. I guess these engineers never tried to back up a trailer looking into a convex mirror. BUYERS BEWARE!!!

Does anyone know if these door harnesses have the 22-pin connectors I would need for the tow mirrors with puddle, running lights and spotlights? If so would I just need to add the harnesses and then automatically have those features?

This next link is for the ones with black caps, but they are currently out of stock.

Cheaper than OEM and most of us have had no issues with them.
