Talk to Beau (Rogel Ford), he has kits for 2015s even though the attached link is for '09-'14.

You'll need the controller/remote box from the factory. You can't just buy a key fob with the option, and it work.

As everyone's stated, there are several brands out there that offer a almost plug and play setup. I've installed it on prior year models, but yet to do it on a 2015. Range is pretty bad, but it's limited to the range of the factory key fob. So it's not the remote start's fault. The programming procedure as said before, requires a programming module and it requires both keys to program.

Gotcha. I don't believe that the kits I linked are a bad deal nor are they crap.

No worries. I'm sure you have experience with many different remote start system manufacturers. My only experience is the hundreds of Compustar systems we have installed for clients and the various crap systems we have pulled out. (Compustar RS systems run just under $300 without installation)
They are very similar to alarm systems, in that you can get a working system for pretty cheap on Amazon or Ebay. I just wouldn't personally recommend it for what should be obvious reasons.
I can't speak for the one you linked at $225, so I won't

I can't help but read this and pick up overtones of sarcasm and passive aggression. Maybe it's the subtle questioning of my experience while humbly boasting of yours, or maybe I'm just reading into it. Hmm...

OP, don't spend money to raise a retailer's margin. I may not have the amount of experience as others, but I do know that consumer electronics, especially mobile electronics, are often ridiculously overpriced. Do your homework and take everything with a grain of salt. FWIW, the link I posted is to what I believe is a good deal and I hope it helped.

if I could do it over again, I'd rather go aftermarket remote start. Range on the factory kinda sucks.

Lol read it how you will. You offered your opinion on a cheaper system being an alternative to the one I recommended, I just assumed it was based on your experience. I offered my opinion and then shed light on my own experience so it could be taken in perspective.

$75 savings to go with a no name brand is not worth it IMHO, but the OP (and anyone else) can and should do their own research before making a decision.

And 'mobile electronics being overpriced' is a pretty general statement. Flip phones get the job done but iPhones are popular for a reason.

Anyway, I've contributed what I can. If OP has any questions feel free to PM me.

I apologize for misinterpreting your intent. In my younger days I sold and serviced electronics at a large "blue box" retailer for 3+ years, and mobile electronics such as car audio/GPS/navigation/car alarm/remote start systems were consistently marked up 2-3x cost. It was nice because our employee discount was 5% over cost, and I was able to complete my car audio setup at the time for 100s less than buying at advertised price. Since then I've made sure to do my homework before plunking down my hard earned money.

As to the link I posted that's in question, it is my understanding that Rogel Ford is selling OE parts, albeit systems that do not come stock. I'm fairly certain that those systems are manufactured in some factory in Asia like most other consumer electronics, but I'd be willing to buy it (it's on my personal build list) based on the positive reviews posted in the thread by other f150forum.com members.

Cheers to you and the OP. I hope everyone is having and will continue to have a good year, and my apologies to all whom I may have offended. I sincerely hope the OP finds what he/she is looking for, and that they get the best deal possible as well.
