i would be very interested in upgrading to sync3 when available. i realize it will probably require a total swap of the stereo. if under 1k ill be all over it. I like the myfordtouch less and less every day....

Wishful thinking I don't think you we be able to upgrade,but if you could I will pick up a 2015 and save some money.

Previously I owned a 2005 300C, when the 2008 models came out with the new updated navigation system, they said it couldn't be retrofitted into the 05-07s. took about 6 months for 3rd party companies to come up with a solution to make them work.

Anyone remember when Ontario changed from a analog system to a digital one? We all got screwed as they went going to offer a upgrade or an option to swap the old for a new system. Thousands of GM owners driving around with a non functional hunk of junk in there vehicles.

If you think buying a 2015 F150 only the have Sync 3 come out on the 2016 model is bad, just remember there are those who bought a mildly refreshed 2010 Mustang GT w/ an anemic 4.6L V8 only to hear a short time later that they were coming out with a vastly superior 5.0L Coyote V8 in 2011.

Bought a 15 lariat 502a when I left Germany. About to deploy and when I get back I'm most likely trading in the 15 for a 16/17 for the sync3. I'm definitely a tech guy and it really grinds my gears that there's no retrofit option or at least letting the consumers know that sync3 was coming out.

Dang, you could always just buy an aftermarket solution I bet that would be even better? What if anything is even available?

The only thing I'm bummed about is how you don't get Nav in a $45,000 truck with Sync 2. I use the steering wheel controls anyway. I don't touch the screen. I don't like the fingerprints.
