Default 2015 stopped receiving text messages, but can send text messages-- Android 7.0 Nougat

Hi,
I have the latest Android 7.0 Nougat with a new LG Aristo phone... it was working fine with SYNC.

Now the truck mysteriously stopped receiving text messages, but I can still send text messages.

Ironically, this problem began after getting my truck back from dealer for an unrelated evaporative emission blocking valve replacement (TSB 15-0171).
(Separately, this always happens, I take my truck to the Ford Dealer and when I get it back I then have a different warranty problem I have to come back for... it's like the Ford Dealer is looking to generate warranty work to keep their mechanics working).

Here is what I've done so far without success -- what am I missing?
- unpaired/paired multiple times
- confirmed I had the latest SYNC version at htttps://owner.ford.com
- confirmed on the truck that "Do Not Disturb" is deactivated.
- confirmed on the truck that message notification is NOT "Silent"
- confirmed on the truck that phone and audio Bluetooth is activated.
- confirmed on my phone that text messages display on locked screen
- confirmed on my phone that Messaging app notifications override "Do Not Disturb"

Make sure your phone gives access too.

On your phone, in Bluetooth Settings, go into the F-150's connection and click on the Gear Wheel. It will come up with 4 checkboxes under "Use For". Makes sure Message Access is checked.

un-pair and delete profiles from both phone and vehicle. Do a hard power off and power on restart of phone and perform pairing again.

THanks guys... I too had done all that.

I FOUND THE SOLUTION: On the 2015 F150s, the phone must be paired while the engine is running and the transmission is in park.

It's easy to get deceived.... the phone does pair and partially text message (but not completely pair) in:
- Accessory mode (engine off)
- engine running & in Drive (e.g, at a stop light).

That is, you won't be able to receive texts.... you will only be able to send texts via the F150 display.
